Locating your AVG activation code

Subscriptions for AVG products can be purchased in a number of ways. Some subscriptions are automatically activated on the device you use to make the purchase. In other cases, subscriptions purchased through an AVG sales channel, such as the AVG Store or an offer within another AVG product, need to be manually activated.

The standard method for manually activating a subscription is with activation code (sometimes called a voucher or subscription code). If you want to use your subscription on another device, you also need to manually activate it. The number of devices you can activate depends on the subscription you purchased.

To manually activate an AVG subscription, first, locate your activation code in one of the following places:

Order Confirmation Email

If you purchased your subscription via the AVG Store or another AVG product on your PC or Mac, locate your activation code in your order confirmation email.

  1. Open your Order Confirmation email.
  2. Scroll down to the license number section of the email. Write down your activation code or copy it to your clipboard.

NOTE: If you cannot find your order confirmation email, you can request a copy of the email via the AVG website by providing the same email address you used to make the purchase.

Activation Card

If you have an AVG box or plastic case containing an activation card, your activation code is printed on the instructions side of the card.

AVG Account

  1. Open your AVG Account at http://my.avg.com.
  2. Scroll to the product you want to locate the activation code for, then click Copy to clipboard.

AVG Android App

If you purchased your subscription via an AVG Android app, your activation code can be found in the AVG app where you made the purchase.

If you purchased your subscription via an AVG iOS app, your activation code can be found in the AVG app where you made the purchase.
