Using the Spectrum Email Inbox
To go to your Spectrum Inbox:
- Sign in to Spectrum Email.
- Select the Email tab.
- Select Inbox.
Inbox Features
Reading & Viewing Spectrum Emails
- Go to your inbox.
- Select an email.
- The email pane will expand on the right.
To change the view of a Spectrum email:
- Choose an email.
- Select the arrow icon (top left corner) to expand the email.
- Select the arrow again to return to the default view (collapsed view).
Refresh Your Inbox
- Choose the Email tab (top).
- Select Get Email to refresh your inbox for new email.
Deleting Emails
To delete a Spectrum email:
- Select the checkboxes next to the email(s) you want to delete.
- Select the Delete icon (top bar).
- The email(s) will be sent to Trash.
Optional: You can drag and drop the email(s) into the Trash folder.
To delete all Spectrum emails:
- Select the box next to “From”.
- Checkmarks will appear in the boxes next to the emails.
- Select the Delete icon (top bar).
Note:
- Emails in the Trash folder are automatically deleted after 3 days.
- Emails in the Spam folder are automatically deleted after 14 days.
To remove a Spectrum email from the Trash folder:
- Open the Trash folder.
- Choose the email(s) you want to move from the Trash folder.
- Select More > Move.
- When prompted, select the folder to which you want to move the email.
Optional: You can drag and drop the email back to the inbox or any folder of your choice.
Permanently Delete Emails
To permanently delete the email(s):
- Open the Trash folder.
- Select the checkboxes next to the email(s) you to permanently delete.
- Select the Delete icon (top bar).
Search Email
To search for an email or the text within an email:
- Open the folder you want to search in (i.e. Inbox).
- Enter a term in the Search Email box (top right).
- Press Enter/Return on your keyboard.
Helpful Tip: You can also search for emails by entering the subject line of an email in the search box.
For advanced search:
- Open the folder you want to search in (i.e. Inbox).
- Select the magnifying glass icon in the search box (top right).
- Use the drop-down menu to choose your search options.
Marking Spectrum Emails
To mark Spectrum emails as read or unread:
- Select the checkboxes next to the email(s) you want to mark.
- Select the Mark As tab (top).
- Select either Read or Unread from the drop-down menu.
To Flag or Unflag:
- Select the checkboxes next to the email(s) you want to flag.
- Select the Mark As tab (top) and select Flag from the drop-down menu.
Select Flag again to remove a flag.
Report Spectrum Emails As Spam
- Select the checkboxes next to the email(s) you want to report as spam.
- Select Mark As (top panel).
- Select Spam from the drop-down menu.
Optional: You can drag and drop the email(s) into the Spam folder.
Print the Spectrum Emails
To print an email:
- Choose the email you want to print.
- Select Print (top panel).
