Like all the days, I was getting ready for my office. I am a Digital Marketer and working in a well-known Company from last 5 years. Mt parents lived in Rajasthan and I lived in Delhi since I am working. I live all alone. I am having my own house. So, I was just ready to go to my office I heard some noise from my house that someone is working on my laptop. I ignored, I thought it would be my superstition and kept on working. I went to the room to get my laptop and I see that the LED light next to webcam was on. I didn’t understand it. I was thinking about it in-between my phone rang. That was my Office friend Maya who was out to pick me for the office. After disconnecting her call, I rushed out of my house as I was getting late.

On the next day

I was very nervous; I was having a presentation with all my marketing directors. I reached office before time. And started preparing my presentation. I Thought to discuss the points of presentation with my Boss.  I entered his room and he was not in his cabin. I think I should wait for him. I sit on the chair in front of his chair. Due to fan, all papers on the desk get spread on the floor and desk. I took those papers and Suddenly what I saw on his laptop?

I was so shocked to see that on his laptop, I got numb for a few minutes. Do you know what I saw? I saw there was one software was opened and someone was trying to hake my laptop. It can harm myself. I was about to hack. I know my Boss is a good hacker but He is not an Ethical Hacker and he has no right to hack my Laptop.

What are the signals that someone is watching You?

It is a bit difficult to find it out who is watching you from your webcam, But I get to know that first sign is that when the LED light next to your laptop camera is on, and you are not using it. The activation of your Laptop LED light is the obvious reason that your laptop is hacked, some more signs like when your password no longer working, when your system gets slow down, antivirus not working, random pop-ups and all.

 

How you can get safe from hacking?

Firstly, you should cover your laptop cameras with any tap. Secondly, block your audio and video.  You should uninstall your webcam drivers time to time and scan your drives using antivirus. Change the passwords of your online accounts randomly. Set two factors authentication for important online accounts, Clear the browsing cookies every time, Never download any unwanted software from an unknown source, always use a password manager to manage all your passwords.

It is very easy to hack someone’s webcam with some applications and software’s.  But is detect it. There are many software’s which can detect any threat and your san scan. Some smart hackers break into your device and steal your every information without any clue.
