Transfer your Norton protection from one device to new another device
The membership of Norton Setup comes with a limited number of licenses to protect your different devices. If you have already used up your licenses, you can also transfer a license from an unused device to allow installation on any another device. To check if you have any licenses which are left with your subscription, read Find the licenses if left with your subscription.
Steps to transfer Norton to a Windows 10 or 8.1 devices
1. Sign in to Norton account.
2. On the My Norton page, under Device Security, click on the "View Devices" or "Review Devices".
3. On the Device Security page, identify the device that you want no longer to protect.
(If the devices that you no longer uses appears with a red or grey (inactive) status, you cannot be able to remove the license associated with that device. You need to fix these types of issues in that device before you remove the license associated with it. If you are not able to fix the issues, you can easily remove the device from your Norton account.)
4. If you did not see the device, click on the History link at the bottom of the device list to see your older devices which are inactive. If you still did not see the device, the device may be connected with a different product key or subscription.
5. Click on the ellipse icon available below the device and in the menu that appears, click on "Manage License".
6. In the Manage Licenses page, then select Remove License and then click on "Next".
7. In the Removed License page that appears, click on "Yes" to confirm it.
Once you have transferred a license from a device, the device is no longer be protected and is removed from the Device Security page.
8. To install Norton Setup on a new device, click Install Now option and select one of the following:
To install Norton device security on a current device, click on Install Now.
To install Norton device security on a different device, click on Send Link option.
9. Follow all the on-screen instructions and complete the process of installation. For complete instructions, see Download Norton on your device.
